These photos were taken in the Melbourne suburbs of Meadow Heights, Coolaroo, Broadmeadows, and along the Moonee Valley Creek. People often push their shopping home. The trolleys are then set along nature strips of the main street to be collected. Instead they're taken for joyrides in the parks and valley. I went to primary school in this area, and we had a tradition of an annual billycart race. Trolley parts were often used in the race. The last image in this series shows a rescued trolley back at the supermarket, but showing signs of its adventure.
